Aliyah Shipman

Executive Director of Programs

Aliyah Shipman is the Executive Director of Programs at Youth Club of America and a celebrated Haitian taekwondo athlete known for her exceptional achievements on the international stage. Her journey in elite sports reflects dedication, resilience, and a commitment to excellence—qualities she brings directly into her leadership role at YCA.

Aliyah qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after winning the 2020 Pan American Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament in the -67 kg division. Her accomplishment marked a historic milestone for Haiti. She has since continued to excel, earning bronze medals at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, and the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games. Aliyah also represented Haiti at the Mexico 2022 World Taekwondo Championships (-73 kg, Top 32) and the Baku 2023 World Taekwondo Championships (+73 kg, Top 16).

Beyond her athletic success, Aliyah is passionate about youth development, leadership, and using sports as a pathway to discipline, confidence, and personal growth. At YCA, she oversees program design, coaching standards, and youth leadership initiatives—ensuring every young person receives guidance rooted in excellence, opportunity, and empowerment.

Her influence continues to shape the next generation of young athletes and leaders across the nation.
